Wow! it seems like we haven't stopped going since the last week in June and it has been especially packed since the 4th of July. We've had tons of fun but it's so nice to be home for a little while. After we got home from the cabin on Sunday the 6th we washed everything and packed up to go to Marilee & Mark's (Mark's Sister & Brother in law) to take care of their boys (George [11], Jordan [9] and Dane [6] ) on Tuesday and Wednesday while they went to St. George for Mark's business and to play golf.
Jaden loves those boys and the boys are so good to him. I love it because they do such a good job of keeping him occupied. It was pretty cute we would sit him in the grass next to the trampoline and he would laugh and clap for the boys while they jumped. When Jordan and Dane were playing Lego Indiana Jones on the Wii Jaden plopped himself right in the middle of them and grabbed the TV remote controls and started pointing them at the TV and pushing the buttons to try and imitate what the boys were doing. Jordan was sweet enough to find an unplugged controller and let Jaden play with it. Jordan is especially good with Jaden, I think he even sort of feels a sense of responsibility towards Jaden because their names are so similiar. Both of them have the same middle names (Mark) and their first names are very close. Jordan comments on it all the time.
I think we all had the most fun when my Mark got there and we all went swimming. Jaden is such a water baby and he had so much fun splashing in the pool. I was lucky as well being surrounded by all those boys that they I didn't get dunked under although all of them tried.
That night we went home and packed up again for our Fishing & Camping Trip to Strawberry Lake with my parents and Mark's parents and George, Jordan & Dane and left the next day (Thursday). We roasted hotdogs & had smore's that night... Mmmm... & feed the little Pop Guts (Ground Squierrls) our left overs. I think word got out around the area to all the little pop guts that we were giving out free food because the next day all the little Pop Guts came out in droves and they weren't afraid of us at all they would just run right up to us and wait for us to drop food.
The next day we got up early and my Dad & Mark's Dad and the boys and myself all went out fishing for about two hours. The only luck we had was when I caught a chub but it was a beautiful sunrise and so relaxing being out on lake even with Dane crawling all around the boat and rocking it. (He really did a good job for a little boy being confined to such a small space for a long period of time, after a while he just came and rested his head on my lap and went to sleep). That night Mark came up after work and we cooked a tastey dutch oven meal together and all the boys went out and catched crawdads.
On Saturday Mark & his dad and my dad went out fishing while the rest of us relaxed, played games and cleaned up camp. We were eating lunch when some fish and game officiers pulled up. They asked to see the owner of the Chevy truck. I thought they were going to site him for parking on the street. But instead they started asking him all sorts of questions about the fish he caught and asked to see his fishing license as well as Mark's and my Dad's. They showed them the fish he caught and apparently some one had reported them that morning because they thought they caught a 22 inch cutthroat but when they came back and mesured it at the cleaning station it turned out to be only 21 inches and then they said that the small cut throat that they caught was actually 15 inches instead of the 14 1/2 they measured it to be. The smaller one was only 14 1/2 inches but the officer kept saying it wasn't. Oh well. But my Dad & Mark's dad got sited for catching illegal fish. She let us keep the smaller one and said they would go easy on them with the fine because they were nice and cooperative. It made for a pretty exciting moment on our little trip but a bummer of a fine for Bob & my Dad.
After that we packed up and once again all though we had a lot of fun, it's nice to just be home for a while. We've still got lots of other adventures planned for the summer so stay tuned if I haven't bored you to death already. :)
